The HOKA Challenger 8 is built at the intersection of road and trail, delivering a smooth, forgiving ride combined with confidence-inspiring traction across a wide variety of terrain. HOKA has added even more foam underfoot, improved the fit, and redesigned the multi-directional lug orientation for the best all-terrain ride yet.

The CMEVA midsole is significantly increased from the previous version, with a stack height of 42 mm heel / 34 mm forefoot, resulting in an exceptionally soft and forgiving ride. J-Frame™ technology prevents excessive overpronation without overcorrecting your gait, while the Active Foot Frame and wide base provide inherent, moderate stability. The multi-directional 4 mm lugs on the Durabrasion outsole have been redesigned with sharper, chevron-shaped grooves for superior grip on packed trails, gravel, and short road sections alike.

The 100% rPET engineered mesh upper is lightweight and breathable, with improved fit in the forefoot and instep area. A 3D screen-printed rubber toe cap provides durable protection, while reflective details keep you visible in low-light conditions. The plush heel collar and new last geometry ensure a comfortable, secure fit.
